Insect DNA metabarcoding to assess the state of health of forests

How can we measure the impact on biodiversity of forest dieback caused by global changes to the environment? For the first time, an international research team involving scientists from INRAE, CNRS and the Université de Tours has analyzed the diversity of insect communities that represent 60% of forest biodiversity, using a technique called DNA metabarcoding.
