In Notification 2008-039 of 4 April 2008, I invited Parties to share information about the activities organized in their countries to celebrate this year’s International Day for Biological Diversity. To date we have received submissions from 26 countries. In order to finalize the report on the celebrations and, for the countries that have not done so, the Secretariat would appreciate receiving a report of the activities undertaken at your earliest convenience and no later than 12 September 2008, after which it will proceed with the issuance of the report.
