The ninth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP 9), through paragraph B.13 of decision IX/16, requests Parties to submit views on ways to integrate biodiversity considerations in climate change related activities. These views will also serve to provide relevant input into the Ad Hoc Technical Expert Group on biodiversity and climate change, as convened in paragraph B.12 of the same decision. Accordingly, I am pleased to request that you submit your views to the Secretariat by 1st October 2008, either electronically to secretariat@cbd.int or via fax to +1 (514) 288-6588.
