Thanks to the generous financial support from the Packard Foundation, and in collaboration with the United Nations Traditional Knowledge Institute (UNU-TK), and Tebtebba (Indigenous Peoples’ International Centre for Policy Research and Education), an international expert meeting on Potential Impacts of “Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation (REDD) on Indigenous and Local Communities”, will be held in Baguio, Republic of the Philippines (venue to be confirmed), from 12-14 November, 2008.
