Reference is made to decision BS-III/14 of the third meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention serving as the Meeting of the Parties to the Protocol (COP-MOP/3), which requests Parties to submit their first regular national reports on the implementation of the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety, as called for under Article 33 (Monitoring and Reporting) of the Protocol. In the same decision, the Executive Secretary was requested to prepare an analysis of the first national reports for the Parties to consider at their fourth meeting.
