The Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) invites Parties, other governments and relevant organizations to submit examples of best practices for addressing the risks associated with the introduction of alien species as pets, aquarium and terrarium species, and as live bait and live food (COP decision IX/4, paragraph 8 and 9).
