The Bureau of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity, at its first meeting held on 4th October 2008 in Barcelona, Spain, has reviewed the decisions of the ninth regular meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP-9) with a view to assessing the funding requirements for the execution of the decisions over and above what has been approved by COP-9 in it core budget and voluntary (BE) Trust Fund.
