It is my pleasure to inform you that the 47th issue of the Quarterly Report of the Convention, covering the period 1 October to 31 December 2009, has been prepared in accordance with Decision IV/17 of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity. The report contains a summary of key activities undertaken in relation to the implementation of decisions of the Conference of the Parties during the period in question.
