I am pleased to announce that the Secretariat, in collaboration with and support of the UNEP-GEF Biosafety Project, will convene a training workshop for National Focal Points for the Biosafety Clearing-House (BCH-NFPs) on 8-9 October 2010, immediately before the fifth meeting of the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Cartagena Protocol (COP-MOP), in Nagoya, Japan. The workshop is in response to COP-MOP decision BS-III/2 and in accordance with the BCH’s multi-year program of work.
