At its tenth meeting held in October 2010, the Conference of the Parties (COP) to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) adopted decision X/3 on the ‘Strategy for resource mobilization in support of the achievement of the Convention’s three objectives’. Decision X/3, paragraph 7, includes a list of 15 indicators for monitoring the implementation of the strategy for resource mobilization based on its mission, and eight goals to be monitored to enable implementation of the Strategy by Parties. These indicators range from listing financial flows from all sources and channels to identifying the number of countries that have taken specific actions related to resource mobilization.
