In decision X/4 the Conference of the Parties requested the Executive Secretary, subject to the availability of the necessary resources, to commission a review of the process of preparation and production of the third edition of the Global Biodiversity Outlook in order to further improve the process for future editions of the Global Biodiversity Outlook and to maintain comparability with earlier editions where necessary.
