The purpose of this notification is (i) to provide information on planned activities for the biennium 2013-2014 in light of decision XI/1 of the Conference of the Parties on the status of the Nagoya Protocol on Access and Benefit-sharing and related developments (ii) to invite Parties, other Governments, relevant international organizations, indigenous and local communities and stakeholders to provide information and views to the Secretariat in preparation for the third meeting of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Nagoya Protocol, and (iii) to highlight invitations by the COP for Parties, other Governments and relevant organisations to take direct action on a number of issues.
