Following Notification No. 2005-073 dated 5 July 2005, regarding submission of interim national reports under the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety which are due no later than 11 September 2005, I am pleased to inform you that the reporting format is available for download in all the six official UN languages, via the Biosafety Clearing-House page of downloadable files (http://bch.biodiv.org/resources/downloads.shtml). I trust that the availability of an electronic, downloadable format will facilitate the preparation and submission of the interim national reports in a timely manner.
