The purpose of this notification is to invite Parties and relevant organizations to take specific action to assist the Secretariat in the preparation of a compilation of initiatives, processes and organizations that develop and consolidate indicators on the sustainable use of biodiversity, for consideration by the Conference of the Parties at its eighth meeting, which will be held in Curitiba, Brazil from 20 to 31 March 2006.
