I have the honour to refer to the eighth meeting of the Conference of the Parties, which will be convened at the Convention and Exhibition Center (Expo Trade) in Curitiba, Brazil, from 20 to 31 March 2006. Please note that a notification regarding accreditation, as well as the provisional agendas for both meetings are available on the Secretariat’s website at: http://www.biodiv.org/meetings/. In accordance with rules 6 and 7 of the Rules of Procedure for meetings of the Conference of the Parties, the meeting is open to any body or agency, whether governmental of non-governmental, qualified in fields relating to the conservation and sustainable use of biological diversity, which has informed the Secretariat of its wish to be represented at the meeting.
