I am inviting your Government to submit the name of an expert who may be called upon to participate in the AHTEG, together with a description of his/her expertise that is strictly related to the mandate of the Group annexed to the present notification (the reports of the first, second, and third meetings of the AHTEG are contained, respectively, in documents UNEP/CBD/COP/7/INF/20; UNEP/CBD/SBSTTA/11/INF/2; and UNEP/CBD/SBSTTA/11/INF/3). Nominations should be received no later than 15 December 2006. The AHTEG is tentatively scheduled to meet in May 2007.
