The purpose of this notification is to kindly inform you that as a follow-up to the Letter of Intent, signed between several Canadian universities and research institutions and the SCBD on 23 May 2006 on the occasion of the celebration of the International Biodiversity Day, the first planning meeting of this partnership was held on 26 September 2006 at the Headquarters of the CBD Secretariat in Montreal.
