New Initiatives to Conserve and Protect Earth’s Agricultural Biodiversity for Future Generations.

Norway has launched the Svalbard International Seed Vault, which will act as a safety net in case seeds already stored in commercial gene banks are destroyed, or are decimated in a global catastrophe.
