Convention Convenes the Fifth Meeting of the Ad Hoc Open-Ended Working Group on Access and Benefit-Sharing

The fifth meeting of the Ad Hoc Open-ended Working Group on Access and Benefit-sharing will be held from 8 to 12 October 2007 at the headquarters of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in Montreal. The Working Group is co-chaired by Mr Fernando Casas form Colombia and Mr Tim. Hodges from Canada. The meeting has been convened to continue the elaboration and negotiation of the international regime on access and benefit-sharing based on the mandate entrusted to it by the eight meeting of the Conference of the Parties, held in Curitiba in March 2006.
