Gabon becomes the first country to ratify the Nagoya Protocol on genetic resources
Montreal, 14 November 2011 –On 11 November 2011, Gabon, became the first Party to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) to ratify the Nagoya Protocol on Access to Genetic Resources and the Fair and Equitable Sharing of Benefits Arising from their Utilization to the Convention on Biological Diversity.
