On request of sCBD, the GLOBIO consortium has explored 6 global policy options to meet the 2010-target. The GTAP-IMAGE-GLOBIO models have been applied. The options concern implementation of WTO, poverty alleviation, bioenergy, plantation forestry, sustainable meat production and 20% protected areas. The results are compared with a OECD business-as-usual scenario and expressed in terms of the 2010-indicators ecosystem extent and species abundance.
