The objective of this side event is to analyse the use and early impacts of the Millennium Ecosystem Assessment (MA) and the Sub-global Assessments (SGAs) for decision making on management, policies and science. Presentation of an overview impact analysis and case studies from SGAs will be followed by an open discussion to exchange ideas and experience on the use and impacts of MA and SGAs.
