A trend is visible in the cosmetics sector towards more sustainable and ethical sourcing practices. More and more companies are committing to the objectives of the CBD and are greening their supply chains. Some pioneering companies have decided to submit their efforts to a new system of independent verification managed by the Union for Ethical BioTrade. In this side event, cosmetics companies will show what it takes to translate CBD objectives into practise. The event will also demonstrate how the Union for Ethical BioTrade promotes industry up-take of the CBD objectives, and provides insight to CBD focal points on how they can promote further business engagement in this sector.
