Ninth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP 9)

Learn about the challenge to find and describe unknown species and producing one of the largest encyclopedias of the world! The event will provide a presentation of a unique project with the aim to document all living organisms found in Sweden and to present them in the Encyclopedia of Swedish Fauna and Flora, covering app 50 000 species. Following a Government Commission in 2001 the Swedish Species Information Centre is carrying out the project, planned to be concluded in app 20 years.
