IUCN will present the various tools available for assessing plants, including The IUCN Red List of Threatened Species and the preliminary assessment tool, RapidList. RapidList is a free online software tool that allows experts to very quickly assess whether a plant is Likely Threatened, Likely Not Threatened or Likely Data Deficient. Rapidlist was requested by the Global Partnership for Plant Conservation. Initial results of preliminarily assessed flora will be showcased.
