Ninth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP 9)

The event aim at clarifying important issues related to the production, processing, trade and sustainability of biofuels in Brazil. Historical and current experiences on agrarian policies and biodiversity conservation, including the relationship between food production and biofuels and its correlation with social and employment issues. The event will also point out the Brazilian approach on deforestation issues and certification of production chain.
