A joint UNU-IAS and UNEP report titled "Benefit Sharing under ABS: Options and Elaborations" will be launched at the event. The report highlights the entry points for discussions on issues related to benefit sharing and through suitable case studies draws attention to the possible considerations on options for national implementating authorities while drawing benefit sharing guidelines. The issues are highlighted in the order of a typical bioprospecting exercise from access to claims on IP.
