The UNEP Governing Council and Global Ministerial Environment Forum (GC/GMEF) in its eleventh special session held in Bali, Indonesia discussed the need and possibilities for identifying synergies between biodiversity related Multilateral Environmental Agreements (MEAs). The discussions held recently under the Chemicals Conventions paves the way forward to begin identifying options for enhancing synergies between the biodiversity related MEAs. This event will focus on the ideas, options and experiences currently under discussions at various fora for bringing such synergies between biodiversity related MEAs.
