This event will be organized jointly by the Global Legislators Organisation (GLOBE International) and the CBD Secretariat. Our objectives for this event are to: Introduce the Parties the idea of the COP-10 Nagoya event “Parliamentarians and Biodiversity” and encourage Parties to send Parliamentarians; Explore the role of Parliaments, national audit offices etc and to promote their role in creating and monitoring the new Strategic Plan; More specifically, provide a briefing on the issue of integrating natural capital into economic decision-making through green national accounts, and; Introduce the work of GLOBE International.
