Tenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP 10)

The objective of this event is to present the outcomes, information generated and technical assistance provided to developing countries by UNEP GEF projects on conservation and sustainable use of agricultural biodiversity. This side event will provide an opportunity to demonstrate the tools, practices and capacity developed at national level to manage the agricultural biodiversity in changing environment. The event will provide an opportunity for interactions between representatives from partner countries, scientists and policy makers. A booklet describing the different agricultural biodiversity projects UNEP has undertaken as the GEF implementing agency, summarizing their achievements, some of the most important lessons that have been learned and offering insights into possible avenues for future activities will be launched at this side event.
