International Union of Forest Research Organizations

Date and Time
22 October 2010 16:30 - 18:0

Meeting
Tenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP 10)

Forest challenges, such as REDD and access and benefit sharing, are highly cross-sectoral, necessitating engagement across sectors and interests in a complex forest regime. Over the past 10 months, an IUFRO-led Expert Panel on the International Forest Regime carried out a global scientific assessment on the international forest regime and explored options on how to capitalize on its complexity. At the side event, the key findings of the assessment will be presented.
