Seventeenth meeting of the Subsidiary Body on Scientific, Technical and Technological Advice

This combined event, hosted by the CBD Secretariat, will discuss: a review of assessments on land and ecosystem degradation commissioned by the CBD Secretariat and undertaken by WRI and PBL with partners, new global maps on ecosystem degradation, and how ecosystem restoration can contribute to the Aichi Targets. Further, SCBD, IUCN, UNDP-GEF SGP, GIZ and the ICCA Consortium are pleased to launch the IUCN Best Practice Protected Area Guidelines Series No.20 : “Governance of Protected Areas: From understanding to action”.
