Seventeenth meeting of the Subsidiary Body on Scientific, Technical and Technological Advice

This session will present the results of a recent expert meeting, hosted by the Scientific and Technical Advisory Panel of the Global Environment Facility, to review progress in mainstreaming biodiversity in policy and production landscapes over the past 10 years. The Global Environment Facility has been instrumental in promoting mainstreaming activities in hundreds of initiatives around the world, from payment for ecosystem service schemes to changes in national policies. This session will provide an overview of the results of this expert meeting, and the future of mainstreaming initiatives under the GEF 6 biodiversity strategy.
