The Global Invasive Alien Species Information Partnership (GIASIPartnership) has come together to support Parties achieve Aichi Biodiversity Target 9 (Invasive Alien Species). They are doing this by development of tools and improving access to existing resources. The Side Event will explore what has been delivered in the last year and discuss future plans. Tools and resources discussed will include the GIASIPartnership Information Gateway, the Global Register of Introduced and Invasive Species, the IAS Pathway Tool, and plans to develop interoperability between Partners’ resources to improve the ability of Parties to discover the information they need. The Partner organizations - CABI, Fishbase, GBIF, IUCN-ISSG, Natural History Museum (UK), Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle (France), Horus Institute (Brazil), Anatrack Ltd (and the Parties of the CBD through the CBD Secretariat) – are working towards being able to react to Parties’ changing needs and deliver information to support key aspects of the workflow in combatting Invasive Alien Species.
