Twelfth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity

The side event will showcase how selected indigenous peoples' communities crafted their action plans to address biodiversity loss, address poverty and mitigate and adopt to climate change. It will highlight the process undertaken to investigate specific indicators within a holistic perspective, i.e., a process of Traditional Knowledge and Science Dialogue, a mapping process and how the CBMIS process intends to enhance community decision making processes and at the same time contribute to reporting on the Aichi target.
