Training course, workshops and guided tours for the participants to the twelfth Meeting of SBSTTA

The Secretariat, in cooperation with the Muséum national d’Histoire Naturelle de Paris and its other partners of the scientific consortium, is pleased to announce the organization, on Sunday 1 July 2007, of a training course for the participants in the twelfth meeting of the SBSTTA, in English in the morning and in French in the afternoon. The workshop will be held in the Grand Amphithéatre of the Museum located at 57, rue Cuvier, Paris, 5th District. The following items on the agenda of SBSTTA-12 will be addressed: the ecosystem approach, the Global Strategy for Plant Conservation and climate change.
While the training course is being conducted in one specific language, workshops will be organized simultaneously, in the other language, on a range of other subjects, such as the Article 8(j), indicators and scenarios, inventories of biodiversity, taxonomic promotion, and access and benefit-sharing. Guided tours of different collections and exhibitions of the Museum will also be available in both English and French languages.
