Dear Madam/Sir, Further to notification SCBD/SAM/RH/KM/85598, I would like to draw your attention to the recent notification from the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) regarding the first review by experts of the draft reports on the thematic assessment on land degradation and restoration (Deliverable 3bi) and of the four regional assessments (Africa, Asia and the Pacific, the Americas, and Europe and Central Asia) on biodiversity and ecosystem services (Deliverable 2b). The first review by experts is now open and will run until 11 July 2016. Considering the relevance of these IPBES deliverables for the work of the Convention, I encourage you to participate as an expert reviewer in these review processes and/or disseminate this notification to relevant experts, as appropriate.
