Dear Madam/Sir, I have the honour to inform you that the Co-chairs of the Working Group on the Post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework, Mr. Francis Ogwal and Mr. Basile van Havre, will provide an informal briefing for participants in the eleventh meeting of the Ad Hoc Open-ended Working Group on Article 8(j) and Related Provisions of the Convention on Biological Diversity (WG8J 11) and the twenty-third meeting of the Subsidiary Body on Scientific, Technical and Technological Advice (SBSTTA 23). The briefing will provide information on the progress made in developing the post-2020 global biodiversity framework and planned next steps. The informal briefing will take place at the ICAO Conference Centre in Montreal, Canada on 24 November 2019 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Documentation for the briefing, including the agenda, will be made available at: https://www.cbd.int/meetings/POST2020-INFORMAL-2019-01.
