Selected representatives of indigenous peoples and local communities to receive funding for their participation in the Seventeenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity and the concurrent meetings of the Conference of the Parties serving as the meetings of the Parties to the Cartagena and Nagoya Protocols, 19 to 30 October 2026 - Yerevan, Armenia
Dear Sir or Madam,
Further to notification 2026-041 on the Seventeenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity and the concurrent meetings of the Conference of the Parties serving as the meetings of the Parties to the Cartagena and Nagoya Protocols, I am pleased to inform you that, after due consideration of all applications received by the Advisory Selection Committee of the Voluntary Funding Mechanism, and in consultation with the Bureau of the Conference of the Parties, the selection of representatives of indigenous peoples and local communities who will receive support for their participation in the above-mentioned meetings has been finalized.
Please find attached, for your information, the list of selected beneficiaries. The beneficiaries will be contacted directly by the Secretariat regarding their travel arrangements.
The selection was carried out in accordance with the criteria for the operation of the Voluntary Funding Mechanism, as set out in the annex to decision VIII/5 D, and in accordance with the selection criteria established in section B of the same annex.
