Main Information
Title Incentive measures proposed in the national biodiversity strategy and action plan, Morocco
Description The submission indicates that several incentive measures are proposed in Morocco's National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan, related to: income-generating projects for local populations; redirecting private sector activities to non-timber forest resources; participative approaches; and institutional measures. In particular, fiscal incentive measures are foreseen in order to address the overuse of natural resources; pollution; detrimental urban and tourism activities; and activities that may impact on ecosystems, species or genetic diversity.
