Title Information on the use of incentive measures in Spain
Description The submission provides an overview on European and Spanish legislation that foresees the use of positive incentive measures to support agricultural biodiversity and the management of protected areas. Information is also given on the use of certification for market creation. It also notes that fiscal instruments such as environmental taxation is so far less developed. The submission also informs that the issue of perverse incentives has been taken up in Spain's National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan.
