International Day for Biological Diversity 2011 - Forest Biodiversity

Italy

Italy

This year Oasi Zegna celebrates the International Day of Biological Diversity by organizing a trip to the forest in the Alta Valsessera, a protected area in Piedmont, Italy, on May 22nd in the company of the biologist Matteo Negro. After the trip, it will be a conference with a video on the importance to conserve and protect forest in Alta Valsessera.
Oasi Zegna is a 100 Km2 protected area in Piedmont (Italy) near Biella. Also it is a Zegna Group project born in 1993 as a consequent articulation of the wool industrialist Ermenegildo Zegna “green vision“, who in 1930 realized a massive reforestation on the barren slopes around Trivero (Biella, Italy).
