  IDB2013 in Niger
It is with great pleasure that Niger republic is submitting its official agenda for the celebration of the IDB 2013. This year, Niger is putting an emphasis on the aquatic biodiversity: the algae and the newly gazetted Termit Tin Touma Game Reserve.

  • The 1st conference was focused on the newly gazetted Termit Tin Touma Game Reserve. This conference was a great opportunity to present this reserve which was gazetted in 2012 and covers a land size of around 10 million hectares.
  • Concerning the second conference on algae, a recent PhD research work was published on the algae in wetlands areas in western Niger, highlighting the socioeconomic importance for these algae for food, soil fertilization, medicine and agriculture.
