New Protected Area Book Available

A new book, “Protected Areas for the 21st Century: Lessons from the UNDP/GEF Portfolio” published by UNDP/GEF and CBD explores how protected areas as critical components of a life support system, can do more ecologically, socially and economically than they ever have before. Best practices gained from projects supported by the UNDP/GEF for implementing the CBD Programme of Work on Protected Areas showcase management strategies that enhance the role of protected areas by facing current challenges.
