Jordan becomes first country in the Arab region to ratify the Nagoya Protocol on genetic resources
Montreal, 12 January 2012 – On 10 January 2012, Jordan became the first Arab country and the second Party to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) to ratify the Nagoya Protocol on Access to Genetic Resources and the Fair and Equitable Sharing of Benefits Arising from their Utilization to the Convention on Biological Diversity.
