Collaboration between forest-related organizations and countries within the framework of the Global Forest Resources Assessment 2010 has resulted in innovative approaches to generating new and comprehensive knowledge on the role of forests in meeting Biodiversity Target 2010. The event will present and discuss these and other efforts to assess progress towards the Biodiversity Target 2010 in forests.
