Fourth meeting of the Conference of the Parties serving as the Meeting of the Parties to the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety (BS COP MOP 4)

Representatives from several industry associations will provide an overview of the private sector's commitments to industry stewardship and quality management practices. The Biotechnology Industry Organization will present information on Excellence Through StewardshipSM and its Product Launch Stewardship Policy. In addition, the American Seed Trade Association will highlight its efforts on seed product stewardship and provide an overview of the ASTA guidance on seed product quality management. Lastly, CropLife International will discuss the plant science industry’s lifecycle approach to the management of plant biotechnology products, and its different global stewardship programmes such as field trials compliance workshops and Integrated Pest Management.
