The event is intended to share experiences in gathering biodiversity related information in integrated national forestry resources assessment and monitoring processes. At least five speakers from different regions in addition to FAO will present their experiences in monitoring biodiversity through NFAs. The event will create an opportunity to discuss monitoring and assessment of the state and trends of biodiversity in forests and trees outside forest at the national level and how the FAO approach applied in a number of countries can help meet expectations.
