The side event will present and discuss projected trends in wood products consumption, present and future shares of natural and planted forests in meeting demand, and the role of planted forests in reducing loss of biodiversity. Examples of best practices and guidelines will be presented related to meeting demand for forests products and services while conserving biodiversity.
