Meeting
Fourth meeting of the Conference of the Parties serving as the Meeting of the Parties to the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety (BS COP MOP 4)

With contributions from more than 30 scientists over two years, we have gathered evidence of 65 health risks of GMOs. They have been linked to thousands of toxic and allergic reactions, thousands of sick, sterile, and dead livestock, and damage to virtually every organ and system studied in lab animals. Fundamental assumptions used as the basis for GMO approvals have proven wrong and current assessments are incompetent to even identify most of the potential problems. Our list of 65 risks provides a framework or checklist for a more robust regulatory evaluation. Biotech companies must provide rigorous, independent evidence to counter each of the risks. Until then, the documented evidence justifies a ban of GMOs by a region or nation.
